Professional Background
Song Haixin is a lawyer and graduate of Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s Koguan Law School, holding both Bachelor and Master of Laws degrees. He serves as a Cybersecurity and Data Compliance Course Instructor at the Third Research Institute of the Ministry of Public Security and was named a 2024 LegalOne Top 30 Rising Star (Stellar Novo).
A pioneer in China’s data compliance field, Lawyer Song advises multinational corporations, listed companies, and financial, retail, tech, and manufacturing clients on data and AI compliance. He led Shanghai’s pioneering personal information rights case, winning at trial, and co-authored the book Data Protection: Compliance Guidelines and Rule Analysis.
He has also contributed to major publications such as the Data Security Law White Paper and the Personal Information Protection Law White Paper, and authored over 40 articles including the widely referenced piece on Didi Chuxing’s cybersecurity review.
