Given the complexity of the carbon peak, carbon neutrality (dual carbon) and environmental, social and governance (ESG) implementation process and the numerous legal relationships involved, there is an objective need for a strong cross-professional lawyer team to provide full-process specialized services. To adapt to this development situation, Hylands’ Carbon Neutrality and ESG Legal Service Center came into being, led by multiple partner lawyers from administrative law, investment and financing, corporate law, construction engineering, tax law, risk management and other fields, accumulating rich experience in professional legal services for dual carbon and ESG projects.

Hylands’ dual carbon and ESG professional legal team has successively provided legal services for nearly 10 billion yuan dual carbon EOD projects and carbon neutrality scenic area upgrades, and has been selected for national pilot demonstration projects by ministries and commissions such as the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the National Development Bank. 

Hylands’ Carbon Neutrality and ESG Legal Service Center is an industry-academia-research integrated organization dedicated to studying dual carbon and environmental, social and governance (ESG) legal practices. The committee aims to promote the practice of low-carbon economic development and sustainable development, and provide relevant research results and consultation services for policy makers, enterprises and the public in related fields.
