Feng ZHU Awarded Excellent Expert in Civil Consultation by Supreme People's Procuratorate
Recently, the results for the selection of the Second Phase of the “Outstanding Experts in Civil Consultation" by the Expert Consultation Network for Civil and Administrative Cases of the Supreme People's Procuratorate were released. Based on the recommendations of related provincial procuratorates, a total of 80 lawyers and scholars were finally elected nationwide based on the number of consultation cases and the quality of advice given. Feng ZHU serves as Partner and member of the Management Committee of Hylands Shanghai Office. He holds a master's degree in Civil and Commercial Law from Shanghai Jiaotong University and a doctoral degree from the University of Arizona, and is a Young Lawyer Leader of the All-China Lawyers Association. He is currently the Director of the Financial Instruments Business Research Committee of the Shanghai Bar Association, Expert of the Supreme People's Procuratorate in Civil and Administrative Cases, Arbitrator of the Shanghai Arbitration Commission, Arbitrator of the Hainan International Arbitration Court, Arbitrator of the Dalian International Arbitration Court, and Mediator of the Shanghai Joint People's Mediation Committee for Disputes in the Securities, Fund and Futures Industries. He is also Member of International Insolvency Institute (INSOL), Member of Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA), Member of China Law Society, Member of Insolvency Restructuring Committee of Shanghai Association of Insolvency Administrators, Member of Shanghai Insolvency Law Research Society, Member of Shanghai Big Data Social Application Research Society, Visiting Scholar of Chinese University of Hong Kong, Researcher of Insolvency Law and Enterprise Restructuring Research Center of China University of Political Science and Law, Editorial Board Member of Frontiers of Insolvency Practice series of Legal Publishing House, Contributor of Shanghai Law Society, and has published several papers in core journals both at home and abroad. Feng ZHU has extensive legal service experience in the capital market, especially in fields such as domestic and overseas listing, M&A, financial instruments and disposal of non-performing assets. He has sponsored or participated in over 100 domestic and overseas IPOs/back-door listings, major asset restructuring/M&A, refinancing of listed companies, bankruptcy reorganization and liquidation, and hybrid reform of state-owned enterprises, and has served as the permanent legal advisor of many listed companies and large corporate groups.
