Hylands Elected to the New Registry of Arbitrators of Foreign Trade Arbitration Commission

Recently, the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) released a new Register of Arbitrators, in which Chunfang LIU, Jinfeng WU and Zhengning LI were selected as Arbitrators, and Jinfeng WU was reappointed.
China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) is the longest established and most influential commercial arbitration institution in China, as well as one of the leading permanent commercial arbitration institutions worldwide. CIETAC resolves international and domestic economic and trade disputes and international investment disputes in an independent and impartial manner by means of arbitration. Since its establishment in 1956, CIETAC has contributed to the development of the Arbitration Law of China and the development of China's arbitration career with its arbitration practice and theoretical activities, and has enjoyed a great reputation both at home and abroad. CIETAC is headquartered in Beijing and has branches or arbitration centers in Shenzhen, Shanghai, Tianjin, Chongqing, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Fuzhou, Xi'an, Nanjing, Chengdu, Jinan and Haikou. CIETAC has also established the Hong Kong Arbitration Centre in Hong Kong SAR, the North American Arbitration Centre in Vancouver, Canada, and the European Arbitration Centre in Vienna, Austria. Arbitrators of CIETAC represent an elite group of domestic legal professionals and are known as the "academicians" of the legal profession. The new Register of Arbitrators consists of 1,698 arbitrators. In particular, there were 1,215 arbitrators from the Chinese Mainland, covering all provincial regions in China for the first time, and 483 arbitrators from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and foreign countries, from 85 countries and regions, with the number of countries along the "Belt and Road" increasing from 28 to 47. The general election of arbitrators further demonstrates the authority, professionalism, internationality and democracy of the Register of Arbitrators, which not only serves the major national development strategies, but also contributes to the development of the CIETAC and arbitration in China and even internationally.
