Hylands Awarded the Honor of 2020 Outstanding Enterprise Labor Union

On April 27, 2020, Beijing Business Center District Federation of Trade Unions convened the Beijing CBD Celebration of "May Day" International Labor Day and Commendation Conference, and Hylands Law Firm was awarded the honorary title of "2020 Outstanding Enterprise Labor Union", making it the only law firm labor union among the 35 enterprise labor unions awarded the honor.

Since the establishment of the labor union of Hylands, the Party branch of the Firm, the partners, especially the Management Committee of the Firm, have been concerned about and supported the construction of the labor union for a long time, and the labor union has successfully completed the re-election of the Labor Union Committee in recent years, and now the Labor Union features a complete organizational structure, clear division of labor and independent funding. As a large-scale comprehensive commercial law firm, in 2020, under the arrangement and deployment of Beijing Business Center District Federation of Labor Unions, Hylands Law Firm, by combining the business characteristics of the Firm, has actively implemented the work of labor unions, performed the functions of labor unions, and effectively safeguarded the legitimate rights and interests of employees. During the COVID-19 from the beginning of 2020, under the leadership of the CBD Management Committee, the Labor Union has actively participated in the pandemic prevention work of the Firm. In addition to actively purchasing masks and other epidemic prevention products for the staff and disinfecting the office regularly to ensure the smooth resumption of work as scheduled, the Labor Union also participated in organizing legal consultation for some partners and lawyers and mobilizing the staff of the Firm to make donations. In daily operation, in addition to organizing monthly birthday parties for all employees whose birthdays are in that month, the Labor Union of the Firm also does its best to safeguard the livelihood of employees and help them to solve their problems. For example, the Firm has applied for public rental housing for young lawyers through the CBD Public Rental Housing Management Center and furnished them with home appliances; applied for supplementary medical insurance for employees and regularly arranged for physicians to give health lectures and health consultations at the Firm; organized badminton, basketball and soccer activity groups according to the age characteristics of employees and allocated special funds to rent venues to encourage employees to spare time to exercise and combine work and leisure every week; in 2020, the Hylands soccer team participated in the Beijing Municipal Competition "Media Cup" soccer invitational tournament and won the fourth place. It is particularly worth mentioning that the Labor Union has organized the "C Band" for employees with music expertise, and has given great support in the procurement and maintenance of musical instruments, rehearsals, and performances, etc. Each year, the "C Band" has performed brilliantly at the annual meeting and New Year's special concert of the entire institute, and has now become a splendid brand of public cultural and sports activities of Hylands. The Labor Union of Hylands Law Firm, under the guidance of Beijing Business Center District Federation of Labor Unions, has now developed a favorable situation under the leadership of the Party Branch of the Firm, the concern of the Management Committee, the strong support of the functional departments, and the independent and autonomous efforts of the Labor Union in accordance with the law.
