The 25th Anniversary Invitational Tournament of Hylands and the Inter-team Competition of Wensheng Beijing Lawyers Golf Team was successfully held

On August 22, 2022, the 25th Anniversary Invitational Tournament of Beijing HYLANDS Law Firm and the Inter-team Competition of Wensheng Beijing Lawyers Golf Team was successfully held in Beijing Beihu No.9 Golf Club. Eight teams from HYLANDS, Haitian, Dentons, Changqing, BD, East & Concord, Zhong Wen, and Allwell participated in the competition.

Adhering to the common dream and expectation for a better future, this competition blended the essence of sports and the spirit of the legal profession, promoted exchanges and interactions in the industry, and conveyed the image of professional and elegant Chinese lawyers. On the occasion of welcoming the inter-team competition of the Wensheng Beijing Lawyers Golf Team, HYLANDS Law Firm also ushered in its 25th year. During the past twenty-five years, HYLANDS wrote a magnificent chapter with passion and endeavor, and its staff lived up to its vision and mission pursuing continuous and comprehensive development. Embarking on a new journey, HYLANDS will continue to create new glory.

The kick-off ceremony was presided over by Liping QIN, Secretary General of Beijing Lawyers Golf Team and Partner of HYLANDS Law Firm. She expressed sincere gratitude to Wensheng AMC for its strong support and great help, and also thanked her peers and all the team members for their active participation. This year marked the third inter-team competition, and it is also one of a series of activities to celebrate the 25th anniversary of HYLANDS. She was looking forward to everyone exerting their strength, level, and style in today’s competition. Attorney Qi JIANG, Chairman of the National Board of Directors of HYLANDS Law Firm and Director of the Shenzhen office, delivered an opening speech. He said, ‘HYLANDS has made sufficient preparations for hosting this event. Director Hong LIU personally selected the high-quality venue, which created an excellent competitive environment for everyone. This event has gathered elites from both inside and outside the industry, which is bound to be a high-standard feast. I wish you all excellent results.’

Attorney Lihua WANG, captain of the Beijing Lawyers Golf Team and chief partner of Tian Yuan Law Firm, delivered a speech. He thanked HYLANDS for organizing this competition and highly praised the excellent facilities arranged for the competition. Mr. Hao WANG, Deputy General Manager of Wensheng AMC Beijing Branch, said in his speech, ‘This high-standard and the high-quality meeting will put its stamp on the history of golf matches by the Chinese lawyers. I hope everyone can enjoy the competition.’ Then, the referee read out the rules of the inter-team competition before commencing the matches.

After the exciting competition, a sumptuous dinner was arranged for everyone. Enjoying the soothing music, all the staff soon got refreshed and immersed in the wonderful celebrations of the evening.   

Attorney Hong LIU, Director of HYLANDS Law Firm, attorney Shaoning QUAN, Founding Partner, attorney Qi JIANG, Chairman of the National Board of Directors, and other guests took the stage to jointly open the 25th anniversary ceremony of HYLANDS, wishing HYLANDS Law Firm greater glory. During the past 25 years. HYLANDS staff respected each other and achieved greater goals together. Adhering to the service tenet of ‘customer-centered’, HYLANDS, with its headquarters in Beijing, exerts its impact nationwide. It upholds the development direction, new pattern, and new starting point of specialization and scale, and strives forward to promote the construction of rule of law and make joint efforts to build a harmonious society based on justice.

Subsequently, attorney Qi JIANG was invited to give a speech entitled Walking into HYLANDS, which was witty and fascinating. He shared, ‘HYLANDS is a law firm with profound cultural heritage, which is widely considered and appreciated in the Chinese law industry. The golf team, C orchestra, and other organizations are HYLANDS’s cultural business cards, which fully reflect the fact that the HYLANDS people can balance their leisure activities along with their professional obligations. This  reflects the culture of inclusiveness and diversity that is always upheld by the HYLANDS.’

The exciting award ceremony officially began amidst a joyous ambiance. For the sake of keeping fairness and impartiality, the organizer invited referees from outside to announce the results of the competition.

Director Hong LIU presented awards to the representatives of the winning teams. Attorney Lihua WANG presented awards to the individual winners.

Being meticulous and industrious is the lawyer’s working attitude, and being energetic and confident is the essence of golf. HYLANDS always followed its noble values, treated customers with utmost importance, and contributed enormously to preserving the rule of law in China. Now, HYLANDS takes the ball game as an opportunity to promote industry exchanges and development. In the future, HYLANDS conquer greater heights, expand its boundaries, and set sail to pursue its dreams.
