Hylands Selected in First Batch Typical Public Interest (Social Responsibility) Cases of Lawyers
Pooling Charity with Love Promoting Charity for Love To deeply explore the inspiring deeds of public welfare activities in the lawyer industry, the Legal Daily, jointly with the Lawyer Research Center of China University of Political Science and Law, launched a nationwide collection and publicity campaign for the "First Batch Typical Public Interest (Social Responsibility) Cases of Lawyers", and following successive levels of selection and competitive voting, Hylands was successfully included in the "Top Ten Typical Cases of Public Interest Brands of Law Firms" and "Top Ten Typical Cases of Innovative Public Interest Approaches of Lawyers".
Ten Typical Cases of Innovative Approaches to Public Interest by Lawyers: Teams of Yipeng JIA and Zhenyuan YU Provide Legal Services to China Red Cross Foundation on Risk Control Compliance and Value Preservation.
On May 14, 2021, China Red Cross Foundation and Beijing Hylands formally signed a risk compliance strategic cooperation agreement. Following a review of the overall structure and project framework of the Red Cross Foundation, Hylands established a compliance team for the Red Cross Foundation, mainly based on Yipeng JIA's team and Zhenyuan YU's team, which is divided into four business groups in accordance with the business areas of the Red Cross Foundation: Risk Control Group, Compliance Group, Intellectual Property Maintenance Group and Value Preservation Group.
On August 20, 2021, the team of Jinyuan YU submitted the Compliance Investigation Report to the Red Cross Foundation. The core elements of the report included: First, "Review of the Existing Compliance Arrangements for the Program", which provided a brief review of related compliance elements based on an overview of the existing written and customary compliance arrangements of the Red Cross Foundation. Second, "Highlights of Project Compliance Management Construction", which selectively discussed some of the highlights of compliance management construction of the Red Cross Foundation from a systematic perspective, based on the existing compliance arrangements of the Red Cross Foundation, for the reference of the leadership of the Red Cross Foundation. Third, the Report reviewed the overall compliance status of a number of Red Cross Foundation programs, and recommended a number of points that could be discussed in depth in terms of both current and long-term compliance arrangements for Red Cross Foundation programs. The leadership of the Red Cross Foundation fully acknowledged the content of the Report, and highly endorsed this innovative cooperation model.
Members of Yipeng JIA's team carried out in-depth research on laws, regulations and policies related to the preservation and appreciation of assets of charitable foundations, summarized the current circumstances of the industry, established a working group on the preservation and appreciation of value of the Red Cross Foundation, researched and sorted out specific policies in accordance with the requirements of the Red Cross Foundation, and compiled the Blue Book on Equity Investment of Charitable Foundations. Yipeng JIA's team assisted the Red Cross Foundation in gaining a more in-depth understanding of asset preservation and the necessity of asset preservation and appreciation; it also assisted the Red Cross Foundation in selecting a legal, safe and effective approach to asset preservation and appreciation.
Top Ten Typical Cases of Public Interest Brands of Law Firms: Western Lawyer Training Program
The "Western Lawyer Training Program" was organized and implemented by the Beijing Legal Aid Foundation with the aim of bridging the gap between the development of lawyers in the east and west. The Program was open to Inner Mongolia, Guangxi, Guizhou, Yunnan, Tibet, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia, Xinjiang, the Xinjiang Construction Corps, etc. for a period of five years. As one of the initiating organizations, Hylands has committed to assign 5 field training lawyers for the annual training course and develop corresponding training programs for the characteristics of western lawyers, such as special training, project practice and other links to promote the healthy development of the lawyers' career as well as the legal aid career in the western regions.
The "Western Lawyer Training Program" has established a platform for mutual exchange and learning between lawyers in the Capital and the western region, which is of great significance in supporting the healthy development of lawyers in the western regions, promoting the construction of the rule of law in the western regions, and deepening the understanding and knowledge of Beijing lawyers to the lawyers in the western regions. Hylands will further join hands with Beijing Legal Aid Foundation to participate in more public welfare projects and to contribute to improving the unbalanced development of the legal professionals and expediting the comprehensive construction of a rule of law society in China. Public welfare is a belief carrying the momentum of moving forward. Hylands will carry on with the warm sense of justice and responsibility of a legal practitioner.
